Post and Beam Coffee Table

This is a large solid bronze and tempered glass Post and Beam coffee table designed by Nicos Zographos. In this work, it pairs a square-edged base with a round top, allowing the simple shapes to work together, despite the obvious juxtaposition. The corners of the square base nearly sit flush with the outer circumference of the glass. The table was produced in the 1980s. The collection was introduced in 1984.

This table measures 42 inches in diameter, and stands 16.5 inches high. The bronze shows some naturally occurring discoloration, and there are some minor scratches on the table surface. Overall, this table is in good condition. Please see photos.

From the estate of Ralph and Ann Youngren, an architect and interior designer. Both had an extensive career at Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill during the 1960s, working under Walter Netsch.
